From the teachings of Hazrat Maulana Shah Abdur Raheem Sahab Dard (Rahmatullah Alaih)
Meaning
Al-Warith means the Inheritor, the Supreme Heir: the One who remains as the owner of everything after all creatures have passed away.
Understanding the Name
People inherit from one another for a short time; in the end everything returns to Allah. “Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor” (Al-Hijr 15:23). The Prophet Zakariyya prayed for a child, saying: “And You are the best of inheritors” (Al-Anbiya’ 21:89).
Knowing that Allah is the final owner of all things makes the believer generous: he spends from what is only temporarily in his hands.
Effects and reflections
Allah is the Creator of the universe and exists by Himself. He is the sole and true Owner of the universe.
Treatment (Amal)
Recite “Yā Wārith” 718 times at sunrise, beginning and ending with Durood Shareef; Insha’Allah, one will be protected from all sorrow and suffering.
Reciting it after Maghrib and Isha protects from confusion and perplexity.
