Effects:

لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ (La-in Shakartum La-a-zidannakum)
Allah(swt) likes those servants of His, who are thankful and grateful to him and glorify and praise him. He (swt) raises them in rank so much so that they are included in the list of the favourites of Allah(swt).
The satisfaction and peace perceived by discussing this quality of Allah can not be expressed in words. It is not the thing to be said but it is something to be experienced by ownself by chanting ‘Ya-shakoor’ sincerely and wholeheartedly.
