Meaning
Al-Mu’min means the Giver of Faith and Security: the One who is perfect peace and safety in Himself, and who grants peace and security to all His creatures.
Understanding the Name
The Name comes from the root a-m-n, which gives both iman (faith) and aman (safety). Al-Mu’min is the One who places faith in the hearts of His servants and who keeps them safe from fear. He confirms His promise and never breaks it. He is named in Al-Hashr 59:23.
When the heart is filled with faith, fear loses its grip. Remembering Al-Mu’min reminds us that real security comes from Allah alone, not from wealth, people or power. The believer who trusts Him feels safe even in the most frightening situations.
Effects and reflections
Allah is the Giver of peace, and every creature receives its peace from Him. He is so loving towards His servants that He grants them peace and security.
Treatment (Amal)
Whoever recites this Name 147 times with full concentration at a time of fear will, Insha’Allah, be protected from that fear and from every kind of loss.
