“Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be asked about his flock.” With this teaching of the Prophet ﷺ in mind, Hazrat Maulana Shah Mohammed Jamal ur Rahman Sahab (DB) urges the listeners to understand their responsibilities towards Allah, their families, their communities and themselves.
The khutba reminds us that responsibility is not only for leaders: a father at home, a mother with her children, a worker at his job and a student in his studies will all be questioned about the trust given to them.
